La Coca Girá

Description: The undisputed queen of traditional cuisine in Finestrat. It is a delicious variant of empanada made with a thin and crunchy dough based on flour, water, oil and salt. The filling is an exquisite and hearty stew made up of tuna mackerel, chopped chard, onion, onion black pudding and sardines. It is advisable to drink it freshly baked and, optionally, accompanied by homemade aioli and a good red wine from the area.

Arròs amb Fesols i Naps (Rice with beans and turnips)

Description: Typical spoon dish of the cooler autumn and winter months. It is a brothy, comforting rice full of flavor, where pork, local sausages, white beans and turnips from the traditional garden are combined.

The Tarongetes (Meat Dumplings)

Description: Tasty oversized meatballs prepared with minced meats (pork and beef), blood, breadcrumbs, pine nuts, spices (traditional spices and a touch of cinnamon) wrapped in cabbage leaves and cooked in a hearty broth. It is the quintessential dish on Sundays and holidays in the old town.
